We move fast in ways to help you grow. Here, you have room to experiment, keep what works, and learn quickly from what doesn’t.
Ready to share our ambition and make an impact? Then, this role may be for you.
About the role
We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our Product Marketing "Data as a Service" (DaaS) team. If you are goal-oriented, detail-obsessed, and ready to turn raw numbers into interesting insights, this is the place for you.
Do you have a passion for data storytelling? Does the idea of supporting a high-performing Product Marketing team with the assets they need to succeed get you excited?
This is not a traditional internal marketing analytics role. The role will not be responsible for campaign KPI dashboards, lead funnel reporting, or routine marketing performance tracking. Instead, success will come from finding the most relevant stories in the data and delivering them in a format that external audiences can understand and trust.
Responsibilities
- Pull, clean, and validate clickstream and DaaS datasets to answer external and internal-facing questions about consumer and digital behavior.
- Create and maintain a library of data‑driven sales enablement assets (e.g., industry benchmarks, usage trends, ROI narratives) that can be reused in pitches, RFPs, and customer conversations.
- Support joint reports and external studies with partners and industry-leading publications by owning data pulls, methodology, and result validation.
- Produce fast, accurate data pulls in support of media opportunities, journalist requests, and reactive commentary.
- Build analytical outputs for recurring content programs, including quarterly trend reports and topical studies on areas such as search, AI, and online behavior.
- Identify notable patterns, shifts, and story angles in large datasets and explain their significance clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Help create repeatable methodologies and QA standards so external data stories are consistent, defensible, and scalable.
- Support spokesperson and executive visibility efforts by supplying data-backed evidence for articles, commentary, and thought leadership.
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, documentation, and responsible interpretation of proprietary data.
About you
Move together. Raise the bar. Learn fast—grow faster. That’s the default. And here’s what else is needed to succeed in this role:
- 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst, insights analyst, or marketing analytics role, ideally in a digital, SaaS, media, or fast-paced tech environment.
- Strong SQL, Python, and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to extract, clean, and QA large datasets efficiently.
- Comfort or interest in working with behavioral, clickstream, or large digital datasets.
- Interest to move from raw analysis to storytelling, with judgment on what is interesting, credible, and relevant for external audiences.
- Clear English written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain analytical findings simply and accurately to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity, methodology, and defensibility.
- Collaborative working style and interest in partnering closely with Product Marketing, Content, Design, and Communications.
Not required, but a plus
- Hands-on experience using GitHub for version control, including committing code, managing branches, and collaborating on data-related projects.
- Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Ready to be a part of this mission? Join us!
At Semrush, we take a serious and comprehensive approach to hiring new people. We welcome those who are professionals in their field and passionate about their work to join our team.
A “five-minute interview” or “get a job in three clicks” approach is not the way we work.
During the interview, we ask candidates to talk about themselves and their background in detail. We try to discover the most important aspects about the way someone works and their personality before a job offer is made.
Once the resume is received it will be reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. We try to provide feedback within three working days.
Flexible approach for an interview format
In order for the online meetings to be productive, we suggest following these tips to make sure you are set up well:
- Join the interview from a laptop or desktop computer (not a smartphone). You may need to print something or present your screen during the interview.
- Please turn on your camera. Visual communication is especially important for us.
- Choose a quiet place to talk. Attending an interview from the street is not a good idea.
- Keep your phone at hand in case there are technical issues that mean we have to continue the interview by direct call.
Analytics
The Semrush Analytics team helps the Company's employees analyze past events, accurately interpret the present situation, and then predict the future. They accomplish all this only by looking at data.

The Analytics team handles stats, calculations, scoring and predictive models, clustering, multi-channel attribution, anomaly analysis, and many other queries from the Marketing and Development teams. In addition, these colleagues deal with business metrics at a company level.
The team members are split between offices in Europe and the US.
The team’s secret passion is finding solutions to new challenges. Sounds intriguing, right?
