Position Tracking: Language Selection within a Region
April 19, 2016
Many countries around the globe have populations that speak multiple languages. Over time, borders have moved and many countries have found themselves host to a myriad of tongues. That’s why we’ve added a new feature to the Position Tracking tool to make sure your campaigns are targeting the right sector — language specification.
Now, if you select one of the following countries when you’re setting up a Position Tracking campaign, you will be offered the additional option of regional language specification:
These countries are: - Canada - Switzerland - Belgium - United Arab Emirates - Thailand
(Please note: the language specification option has nothing to do with the language displayed in the SEMrush interface. Google searches in the aforementioned countries are performed in different languages. Depending on the chosen language, Google will yield different results).
Also, keep in mind that you won't be able to change your location or device settings after you start your tracking campaign. If you want to track your results in a different language, you’ll need to start a separate campaign.
